natalie cañizares is a lifestyle coach and yoga instructor living in los angeles, california. she is currently developing a new program that focuses on designing a lifestyle that supports creative, ambitious women.
“a few years ago I was living in new york city feeling really lost and struggling with self-confidence issues - not knowing what to do next in my career, so I worked with a life coach. It was powerful, more than I ever could have imagined and it inspired me to start my own coaching practice. health and wellness has empowered me to take control of my own life. there was a time in my life where I thought I didn’t have any control over the way I felt in my mind and body. learning about health and wellness taught me that I have the power to completely change my experience.”
“through my early and mid-twenties I really struggled with understanding my value as a person and constantly sold myself short. at that point in my life my worth was completely tied to the way I looked. I believed that if I didn’t look “perfect” or if other people didn’t view me as such, that I was completely useless. there is so much pressure on women in our society to look a certain way, and it can really take a toll. I had to do some serious work and soul searching to begin releasing that belief. It’s still something I come up against often, but luckily I know it’s not true and now have the tools and support to help myself move past it."
her advice to aspiring leaders? be kind to yourself and trust the process. patience is as important as drive.
